Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Geo Brigg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Steve Jobs!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brigg shoots for a takedown but Jobs saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Jobs closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
You can see the frustration on Brigg's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Brigg sneaks back into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brigg tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Brigg is controlling Jobs's trapped leg to prevent Jobs from advancing to side control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Jobs got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brigg has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jobs has managed to get both his arms back between Brigg's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Brigg is in trouble now - Jobs has advanced to mount!
Brigg is bucking up trying to escape but Jobs cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Brigg is squirming around, avoiding Jobs's attempts to control the action.
Brigg is looking to get to half guard.

Jobs stands up from mount. Strange move.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Jobs throws a head kick that misses.
Brigg avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Jobs tries to clinch up but Brigg circles away and keeps his distance.

Brigg closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jobs to the mat! Jobs manages to get full guard.
Brigg is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Brigg wants to control from the top but Jobs keeps moving.
Brigg is really struggling to control Jobs but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Geo Brigg just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

and Jobs counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Brigg's guard now.

Steve Jobs showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Brigg's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Jobs is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Brigg's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Brigg! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Jobs has tapped! This one is allllll over!
