Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shane Richards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richards kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Cry me a river - Michael buble. Fighter has chosen RENEGADE MASTER as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Steve Fighter enters the ring!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richards misses with a head kick.
Fighter looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Fighter ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Richards wants to slow Fighter down by chopping away at his legs.
Richards wants to land a leg kick but Fighter is out of range.
Richards thuds his shin into the meat of Fighter's side.
Richards throws a head kick that misses.
Richards throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Richards keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Fighter.
Richards throws a solid leg kick but Fighter takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Richards.
Fighter fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Richards looks for the body kick but Fighter saw that one coming.

Richards gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fighter to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Richards is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Richards has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Richards looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fighter is one step ahead there.
Fighter is looking to work some ground and pound but Richards has wrist control.
Richards wants to stand and escape but Fighter is having none of it.
Richards is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Fighter dives into side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee asks Fighter politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Fighter prefers to stall for the moment though.
Fighter postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Richards misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fighter.
Fighter cracks a nice hook into Richards's ribs.
Richards pivots, looking for a leg kick but Fighter is out of range and Richards settles back down.

Fighter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Richards moves away.

Richards throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Fighter shoots in for a double leg but Richards sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Richards throws a leg kick but Fighter sees it coming and moves out of range.

Fighter dives in and grabs Richards's left leg, looking for a takedown. Richards pushes down on Fighter's head and hops out.

Fighter fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Richards sprawls well initially but Fighter persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Fighter wants to take a breather but Richards is having none of it.
Richards pushes Fighter off looking to stand but Fighter dives back in and keeps control.

Richards is not content to let Fighter control the position.
Fighter prevents Richards from improving his position.

Fighter tries to pass the half guard into mount. Richards knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Fighter is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Richards doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fighter.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Richards throws a leg kick but Fighter moved away.

Fighter takes a kick to the side of the head.
Fighter slips a straight right by Richards.
Richards swings for the body but Fighter moves out of range.

Fighter ducks under a wild hook from Richards.
Fighter will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Horrible takedown by Fighter or perhaps it was just good defense by Richards which made him look bad.

That was a close second round but I would say that Shane Richards will probably get the nod.

You can see the frustration on Richards's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
