Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johny Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason The Diamond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burns comes to the cage accompanied by "Firestarter" by The Prodigy. Jason The Diamond has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johny Burns! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason The Diamond! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burns looks to score with a jab to the body but The Diamond is just out of range. Burns thumps The Diamond with a low kick. Burns shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as The Diamond sprawls well. The Diamond wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Burns gets slowly back to his feet. Burns misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Burns is looking to clinch. The Diamond swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Burns. Burns tries to score a power double leg takedown but The Diamond sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Burns somewhat. The Diamond checks a low kick from Burns. The Diamond scores with a nice strike. The Diamond throws the left hand but Burns avoids the punch easily. Burns swings away with a leg kick that misses. A big right from The Diamond misses. The Diamond gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Burns to score an easy takedown into full guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if The Diamond can do anything to dispel that myth. The Diamond is looking to stand up but Burns isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burns tries to free his leg and advance position but The Diamond is retaining full guard. The Diamond avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The Diamond wants to stand but Burns is controlling the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. The Diamond takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. The fighters circling - The Diamond throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Jason The Diamond is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Burns throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Burns throws a nice outside leg kick. Burns tries to clinch there but The Diamond circles away.
The Diamond lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Burns swings away with a leg kick that misses. Burns takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
The Diamond scores with a one two! Burns had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The Diamond comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. The Diamond misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Burns.
A chopping leg kick lands by Burns. The Diamond circles away from the clinch attempt.
The Diamond connects with a body shot. The Diamond looks to throw the jab but Burns is out of range. Burns tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Burns drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Burns won't allow The Diamond to get back to his feet. The Diamond manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Burns shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. The Diamond manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Burns wants to pass the guard but The Diamond is keeping the position. The Diamond is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burns passes easily into side control. Nice work. The Diamond is trying to buck Burns off. Burns wants to lay and pray for a moment but The Diamond keeps working. Burns connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused The Diamond some visible discomfort.
The Diamond is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Burns is controlling him well. The Diamond really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Burns. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The Diamond looks gassed! Burns tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burns is chipping away with strikes.

The Diamond sneaks out the side door and pushes Burns away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Burns avoids the body shot from The Diamond.
The Diamond throws a hook to the side of Burns's head but Burns sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Burns scores with a takedown into The Diamond's guard. The Diamond wants to stand and escape but Burns is having none of it. Burns trying to control but The Diamond is working from the bottom. Burns looking to pass the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johny Burns dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
The Diamond connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. The Diamond's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and The Diamond duly obliges. The Diamond smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. The Diamond throws a shot to the body.
Jason The Diamond seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The Diamond checks a leg kick. A shot to de liver by The Diamond. Beautiful body shot. Burns thows a left - swing and a miss! A nice leg kick lands there from Burns. Burns shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The Diamond looks like he's trying to stand up.
The Diamond kicks off Burns and gets to his feet. The Diamond lands with a right hand. The Diamond misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Diamond with a body punch. A glancing blow. The Diamond scores with a crisp jab that stopped Burns in his tracks. The fighters circle momentarily. The Diamond darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Burns throws a hook to the side of The Diamond's head but The Diamond sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. The Diamond throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Burns tries to clinch up. The Diamond thows a left - swing and a miss! Burns moves in looking to clinch but The Diamond pushes him off. Burns throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. The Diamond throws a wild combination but nothing lands. The Diamond throws a series of punches but Burns avoids them all with ease. Burns shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Burns working away from the top, dropping strikes. Burns looking to finish The Diamond with some ground and pound. This is bad for The Diamond! The Diamond blocking the ground and pound. Burns has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. You get the feeling that The Diamond really doesn't like being in this position too much.
The Diamond is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burns looking to control but The Diamond is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Burns controlling from the full mount. Burns throwing strikes here but The Diamond is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Burns raining down shots from the mount! Burns won't let The Diamond get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. The Diamond is bucking up trying to escape but Burns cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The Diamond's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. A nice elbow there by Burns. The Diamond defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Burns. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The Diamond is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burns fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Burns looking to secure an arm triangle but The Diamond defends it well. You get the feeling that The Diamond really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Burns is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. The Diamond can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Burns is landing with some decent strikes but The Diamond is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. You get the feeling that The Diamond really doesn't like being in this position too much.

The Diamond wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Burns has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! The Diamond taps furiously! This one is all over!
