The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putin wants to clinch.
Romanoff misses with a two punch combination.
Romanoff keeps the fight on the outside.
Putin dodges the punch combination from Romanoff.
Romanoff connects with a nice looking jab.
Putin throws a quick inside leg kick.
Putin lands a head kick!
Putin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Romanoff manages to avoid it.
Romanoff's corner calls for a 1-2. Romanoff obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Putin lands with a kick to the ribs.
Putin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Romanoff works the jab nicely.

No joy there for Romanoff, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Putin throws a knee to the head but misses.
Romanoff tightens his grip and picks Putin up, before dumping him to the ground. Putin manages to land in guard.
Putin throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Putin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Romanoff. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Romanoff is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Putin has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Putin!
Romanoff is breathing heavily.
Romanoff is pulling down on Putin's head. It's preventing any offense from Putin, at least for the moment.
Putin postures up and lands a big shot to Romanoff's brow.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Romanoff looking for a triangle here. Putin is fighting it but it looks tight! Romanoff pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Putin is tapping out - this one is all over!
