Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brendan Wertman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wertman kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is No One Loves Me and Neither Do I. Brendan Wertman has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brendan Wertman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Williams! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wertman, pushing him back against the cage. Williams wants to break the clinch but can't.
Wertman swings wildly with an uppercut but Williams uses good head movement to avoid it. Williams misses with a knee strike.
Wertman stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Williams tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Wertman gets underhooks to prevent Williams's takedown attempt.
Williams jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wertman walks away with a smile on his face. Williams gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Brendan Wertman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Williams. Williams misses the shot to the body. Brendan Wertman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Williams has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Wertman finds it's way round the side to connect with Williams's head. Williams tries a head kick but it misses.
Wertman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Williams as he avoids it easily. Wertman misses with a jab, cross combination.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wertman. Williams stuffs the takedown. Wertman throws a head kick that misses. Wertman throws a body punch but Williams moves out of range. Williams gets a takedown into half guard. Williams is trying to control. Wertman wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Wertman works his way to full guard. Good work. Wertman pushes Williams off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Williams with a lazy takedown attempt and Wertman counters with a takedown into side control. Williams looks gassed! Wertman scoring with punches from side control. Williams is looking for a sweep. Wertman lands an elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams is working to avoid the ground and pound but Wertman connects with a decent elbow. Wertman lands an elbow. Wertman scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Williams to see if he's OK. Wertman is looking to take a break and control but Williams is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Williams takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! Wertman scores with punches from side control. Wertman working the body and head with strikes. Williams takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Wertman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Wertman cracks Williams with a big right hand but Williams just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Wertman trying to control the position but Williams is working away. Williams struggling a bit here. Wertman working the ground and pound. Wertman has an Americana. Williams didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Wertman is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Wertman hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
