Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Cordin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul McBryant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cordin might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Smash Mouth - All Star . McBryant is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: "London Calling" by The Clash. Paul McBryant acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason Cordin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul McBryant! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cordin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McBryant paws at him with a jab and circles away. Cordin misses with a body shot.
McBryant tries to clinch and Cordin counters with a straight right hand. McBryant tries to clinch but fails miserably and Cordin counters by moving into the clinch. Cordin looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. McBryant tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Cordin can't break the clinch.
McBryant keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Cordin's efforts to push away. McBryant throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Cordin blocks it with crossed arms. McBryant with an attempt at a knee that misses.
McBryant lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Jason Cordin has been cut. McBryant looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. McBryant misses with a knee to the head. McBryant using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Cordin has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Cordin works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Cordin wants to control from the top but McBryant keeps moving. McBryant looks gassed! McBryant working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cordin. McBryant looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Cordin passes into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cordin postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Cordin tries to stand but McBryant is controlling his head. Cordin working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Cordin landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Cordin working the ground and pound but McBryant is defending the strikes. A lull in the action here as Cordin stalls from top position. Cordin working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cordin grinds an elbow into McBryant's temple. Cordin looks up at the clock and then as McBryant takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Cordin smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Cordin tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Cordin takes a little break here. McBryant wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cordin wants to lay and pray for a moment but McBryant keeps working. Cordin is really struggling to control McBryant but he's trying to hold on to the position. McBryant parries the strikes from Cordin easily there. Cordin is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable McBryant to escape.
Cordin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McBryant, who protects the arm well. Cordin wants to control but McBryant is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Cordin throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Cordin scores with a body shot.
Cordin lands a straight punch to the body, keeping McBryant at a distance.
Cordin drops McBryant with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but McBryant looks back up at him and smiles so Cordin waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
It looks like Paul McBryant has been cut. Cordin clinches. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Cordin wants to get back to striking at distance but McBryant won't allow it.
Cordin is trying to break free. Cordin lands a hook that snaps the head of McBryant backwards. Cordin can't break the clinch.
Cordin looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Cordin has McBryant pressed against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jason Cordin dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Cordin pushing out the jab but it's not landing. The fight moves into the clinch position. Cordin wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Cordin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McBryant can do to turn this around? McBryant using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Cordin has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Cordin gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Cordin drops back, looking for a kneebar! McBryant looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. McBryant looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from McBryant! Cordin can't do much from the bottom here. McBryant is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cordin tries to buck McBryant off but McBryant is having none of it. McBryant working the ground and pound but Cordin is defending the strikes. Cordin is looking for a sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. McBryant working away. The ground and pound from McBryant seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Cordin connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Jason Cordin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cordin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McBryant was well out of range. Poor timing from Cordin. McBryant uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cordin. McBryant tries to clinch but Cordin moves away and Cordin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Cordin pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Cordin circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops McBryant to the canvas! McBryant doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Cordin keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jason Cordin!
