Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoto Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aoki comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Handlebars kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki tries to close the distance and clinch up but Santos swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Santos takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Santos looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Santos shoots in and drives through. Aoki sprawls well.
Nice straight punches there by Aoki. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Aoki.
Aoki lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Santos circles away quickly and effectively.

Aoki moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Santos has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Aoki takes a swing at Santos's ribcage but misses.

Lyoto Aoki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Santos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Aoki's waist but Aoki gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Santos off to one side.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Santos. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Santos shoots in and bounces Aoki off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.

Aoki bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Santos's head backwards.

Lyoto Aoki seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Aoki tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Santos was well out of range. Poor timing from Aoki.

Aoki escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The fight stays on the outside here - Aoki looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
