Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jin Shotokahn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martinez has chosen Puya -- Sal Pa' Fuera as his entrance music. Jesus Martinez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jin Shotokahn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jesus Martinez! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shotokahn connects with a body shot. Martinez swings for the body but Shotokahn moves out of range.
Shotokahn lands a with a good body shot. Shotokahn defending well as Martinez loads up on a big left hand. Shotokahn scores with a one two! Martinez had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Martinez throws a sloppy body shot

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Shotokahn misses with a hook. Martinez ducked under it nicely. Jin Shotokahn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. and Martinez counters with a stiff right hand. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Martinez has a takedown stuffed. Shotokahn throws a jab when Martinez was well out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jin Shotokahn will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Martinez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Shotokahn defends it easily. Martinez wants to sweep here but Shotokahn controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Shotokahn trying to control but Martinez is working from the bottom. Martinez looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Shotokahn got a little sloppy there for a moment and Martinez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shotokahn has managed to get both his arms back between Martinez's legs - danger averted. Shotokahn wants to control from the top but Martinez keeps moving. Martinez tries to land a sweep but no joy. Shotokahn slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Martinez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shotokahn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Martinez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Shotokahn trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jesus Martinez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Shotokahn slowing the pace effectively. Shotokahn has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Martinez looking for a takedown. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Martinez creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Martinez breaks the clinch.

Martinez fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Shotokahn on the side of the head. Shotokahn takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. A low kick from Shotokahn is predictable there and Martinez decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Shotokahn's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Martinez postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Martinez throws a leg kick which misses Shotokahn's front leg but catches the back leg as Shotokahn tries to avoid it. Martinez shoots in but Shotokahn avoids the takedown attempt easily. Shotokahn looks to land a right hand but Martinez moved out of range. Shotokahn displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Martinez. Shotokahn comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Shotokahn looks to clinch and Martinez counters with a nice body shot. Shotokahn throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Martinez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Martinez takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. A big right from Shotokahn misses. Martinez keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Shotokahn slips a jab from Martinez. Shotokahn avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Shotokahn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Martinez moves away. An inside leg kick from Shotokahn misses.
And that's the end of the fight! Jesus Martinez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Martinez has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
