Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Pigott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Pigott could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Billy Bob's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Pigott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Bob!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bob closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pigott to the mat! Pigott manages to get full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Bob would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Pigott is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Pigott looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Pigott is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Pigott is looking for a triangle but Bob pushes his legs off easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bob tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pigott swivels and escapes.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pigott is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pigott wants to pass the guard but Bob is keeping the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Pigott bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Pigott decides to stand back up. Pigott steps back and let's Bob get back to his feet.

Pigott fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bob avoids it really well and circles away.

Bob moves into the clinch.

Pigott pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bob throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pigott stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Pigott bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Pigott wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bob keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that John Pigott will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Pigott had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bob defends it easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bob fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pigott sprawls well initially but Bob persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
It looks like Bob is going to stand back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bob postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Pigott to stand up.
Bob goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Bob keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Pigott tries for a takedown but Bob circles away easily
and Bob connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Pigott shoots and misses

and Bob counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pigott won't be happy with that.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Pigott. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pigott gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Bob stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bob tries for a takedown but Pigott sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Bob counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Bob counters with a nice uppercut.
Pigott throws a head kick that misses.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bob.

Bob gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Bob is stalling here.
Pigott tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bob lands a left hand.
Pigott tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bob smiles and moves away.
Pigott swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Bob counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bob.
Bob wants to stand and escape but instead Pigott has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Bob wants to stand but Pigott is controlling the position.
Billy Bob has got the better of the ground game so far.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pigott trying to control the position from guard on top but Bob is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pigott looking to sit in guard and control but Bob gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Billy Bob showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Pigott's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Bob looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Pigott!
Pigott is working to get back to half guard.
Bob wants to control but Pigott has made it back to half guard. Nice work.
Pigott is pressing down on Bob's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Bob wants to stand but Pigott is controlling his posture from full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Bob must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Pigott wants to sweep but no luck.
Bob would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bob is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pigott sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bob shoots for a double leg takedown but Pigott sprawls well. He's pushed Bob's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bob fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
John Pigott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Bob.

and Bob counters with a stiff right hand.

Pigott shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Pigott wants to get back to his feet.

Pigott trying to control the action but Bob is working from the bottom.
Pigott moves into full mount! Bob won't be happy about that!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee warns Bob that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Bob defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Pigott.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bob is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Pigott has taken his back!

And that's the end of the fight!
John Pigott showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Pigott has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
