Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anderson Gracie!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Chad Campbell and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
wagner shoots in for a takedown but Gracie shows good takedown defense.
Gracie fails with the takedown
and wagner counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by wagner.
Gracie is trying to drag wagner to the mat but wagner just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Gracie tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. wagner just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anderson Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gracie pulls wagner into guard.
wagner decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gracie, up you get!
Gracie scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Gracie sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but wagner is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

wagner is pressing down on Gracie's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
wagner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gracie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Gracie postures up in wagner's guard and throws a big left but wagner blocks it.
wagner looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
wagner is looking for a triangle but Gracie pushes his legs off easily.

Gracie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

wagner is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Gracie looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for wagner!
Gracie has control of wagner's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and wagner regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Gracie thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Gracie throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Gracie is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. wagner can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Gracie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
You can see the frustration on wagner's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Gracie goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, wagner rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Gracie's guard! Nice work there by wagner!
Gracie tries to strike from the bottom.
wagner works over Gracie with some ground and pound from guard.
Gracie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in wagner's guard.
Gracie drops back, looking for a kneebar! wagner looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. wagner looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from wagner!
wagner wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gracie, who protects the arm well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
wagner is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gracie's half guard.
Gracie actively working from the bottom here.
wagner tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gracie knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
wagner is keen to just control but Gracie is a slippery customer.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Gracie gets full guard.
Gracie has his feet on wagner's thighs here. He's pushed wagner off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! wagner screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
