The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soullezzi pushes Fender up against the cage in a clinch.
Fender has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Soullezzi is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Fender should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Fender drags the fight down to the ground.
Soullezzi wants to pass the guard but Fender is keeping the position.
Soullezzi trying to control the position from guard on top but Fender is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Soullezzi lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Soullezzi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Fender is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Soullezzi frees his head nicely. Oh but Fender has switched to an armbar! Soullezzi is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
