The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rampage closes this distance looking for a takedown but Yves circles away. Rampage is trying hard to land a takedown here. Yves sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Ronny Rampage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rampage fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronny Rampage. That's going to take a lot out of him. Yves shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Yves lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Rampage punching from the bottom.
Yves wants to pass to mount but Rampage is defending the position. Nice strikes from Yves there. Rampage blocking the ground and pound attempt from Yves. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rampage regains full guard. Nicely done. Rampage looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yves throws a strike but Rampage rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Rampage lands a couple of elbows. Yves looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Yves looks gassed! Yves looking to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rampage passes into half guard. Rampage sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Yves defending well though. Rampage missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Rampage gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Yves counters with a single leg into guard. Rampage didn't expect that. Rampage not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rampage is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Yves throwing strikes from guard but Rampage blocks nicely. Yves with a flurry of punches that miss. Rampage bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Yves's guard. Rampage sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Yves's guard. Rampage trying to control from half guard but Yves is working away. Yves wants to get back to full guard. Yves is not content to let Rampage control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Yves is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Rampage frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Rampage punishing his opponent with strikes. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Yves can do anything to dispel that myth. Rampage is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Yves can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Rampage gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Yves counters with a nice double leg into guard. Rampage is trying to keep Yves in close.

Rampage is trying to control the position but Yves postures up. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rampage is on top in guard.
Rampage lands a couple of digs. Rampage distracts Yves with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Yves really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rampage. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rampage loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yves has momentary wrist control but Rampage slips an elbow through the middle. Yves wants to sweep but no luck. Rampage passes Yves's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Nice strikes from Rampage there. Rampage looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Rampage is trying to control. Yves wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Rampage looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Yves with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Rampage prevents Yves from improving his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Nice strikes from Rampage there. Yves keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Rampage throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Rampage landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Rampage has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Yves is pressing down on Rampage's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Yves throws his legs up looking for a submission but Rampage uses it to pass to side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rampage is looking to take a break and control but Yves is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Rampage has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rampage sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Yves tries to reverse the position but Rampage maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Yves is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Rampage is landing with some decent strikes but Yves is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Rampage with the ground and pound from mount. Rampage landing strikes, looking to finish! Rampage lands with some strikes. Rampage putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ronny Rampage dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rampage. Yves changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rampage looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Rampage is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Yves's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Rampage regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Yves. Rampage controls Yves momentarily but Yves frees himself. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rampage manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Yves manages to get himself to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rampage wants to control from the top but Yves keeps moving. Yves tries to land a sweep but no joy. Yves preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rampage accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Rampage postures up in Yves's guard and throws a big left but Yves blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rampage trying to control the position from guard on top but Yves is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Rampage shoots and misses and Yves counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rampage! Yves scoring with strikes but Rampage is staying in there. Rampage really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Yves cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
BOOM! Yves connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Rampage tries to get back to half guard but can't. Bob Yves has got the better of the ground game so far. Yves lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Yves lands a nice shot to the head. Rampage tries to hold on but Yves pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yves raining down shots from the mount! Yves moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Rampage has worked his arm free - good work by Rampage!
Rampage is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Yves lands some shots froms side control. Rampage sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Rampage is not content to let Yves control the position. Rampage makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rampage. Rampage looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rampage lands some strikes from the bottom. Yves working some strikes from top position. Rampage is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Rampage thows a huge punch but Yves dodges it nicely.
Rampage thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Yves wants to improve his position but Rampage is controlling well.

And that's the end of the fight! Bob Yves comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Yves has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
