Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gary Player (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isaiah Dominguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Isaiah Dominguez!
The judges for this bout are , and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Player throws a hook but Dominguez blocks it.
Dominguez slips under a jab from Player.
Player misses with a straight left.
Gary Player seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Dominguez.

Dominguez is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Player is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Dominguez is looking to take a break and control but Player is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Dominguez controlling the position from side mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Player is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Dominguez has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Player takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Dominguez tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Player prevents Dominguez from improving position.
Dominguez trying to control the action but Player is working from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Dominguez moves into the clinch.
Player is looking to break free of the clinch but Dominguez has double underhooks.
Dominguez keeps control of Player as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Dominguez jumps guard but Player stands there with Dominguez around his waist. Dominguez gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Player can't break the clinch.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dominguez blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Player breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dominguez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dominguez ducks under a wild hook from Player.
Player missing with a left hand there. Dominguez was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Player throws a looping overhand right but Dominguez ducks down to avoid it.
Player throws a lazy right hand but Dominguez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Dominguez drives through and clinches with Player against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Player.
Player throws a punch but it's blocked by Dominguez.
Player working hard to break the clinch.
Player is trying to break the clinch but Dominguez has him pressed against the cage.

Dominguez drags the fight down to the ground.
Dominguez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Player's guard.
Dominguez won't allow Player to get back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Player keeping full guard, as Dominguez tries to pass.
Dominguez controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Dominguez shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Player wants to get back to his feet.
Dominguez throwing shots but Player is blocking nicely.
Dominguez throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Dominguez stalling.
Dominguez thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Player is staying active underneath Dominguez, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Player throws a shot from downtown. Dominguez moves away and avoids it.
Player throws a jab when Dominguez was well out of range.
Player throws a big shot that misses.

Dominguez clinches up against the cage.
Player lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Dominguez breaks from the clinch.
A swing and a miss from Player.
Player misses with a straight right.

Player gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Dominguez throwing strikes but missing.

Player is working an open guard so Dominguez takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Dominguez ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Dominguez gets the takedown into side control.

Dominguez thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Dominguez is breathing heavily.
Player tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
A lull in the action here.

Isaiah Dominguez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Player misses with a hook. Dominguez ducked under it nicely.

Dominguez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Player smiles and moves away.

The fighters circling - Player throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Player is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Dominguez slips a jab from Player.
Player thows a left - swing and a miss!
A big right from Player misses.
Player throws the left hand but Dominguez avoids the punch easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dominguez staying out of range there.
Player looks to throw the jab but Dominguez is out of range.
Player waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Dominguez.
Player tests Dominguez's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Player tries to keep at a distance but Dominguez has taken the fight into the clinch.

Dominguez jumps guard and drags Player to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Player trying to stand up but can't free himself from Dominguez's guard.

Dominguez kicks Player off and gets to his feet.
Player throws a jab but it's blocked by Dominguez.
Player looks to land a right hand but Dominguez moved out of range.

Dominguez scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Dominguez working the ground and pound but Player is defending the strikes.
Dominguez cracks Player with a big elbow.
A lull in the action here.
Gary Player has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dominguez fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Dominguez controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dominguez works to advance to full mount. Player defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Dominguez won't let Player get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Dominguez content just to control the position here.
Dominguez misses with a head shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Player is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Dominguez trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Player tries to buck Dominguez off but he can't manage it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dominguez tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Isaiah Dominguez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
