The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Offense gets caught flat footed, as Hanson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Offense wriggles free and stands up.
Offense wants to slow Hanson down by chopping away at his legs.

Offense clinches up against the cage.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Offense.
Hanson wants a takedown but no success here.
Offense working hard to break the clinch.
Hanson has Offense pressed against the cage, preventing Offense from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Hanson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Offense regains guard.
Offense not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Hanson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Hanson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hanson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Hanson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Offense napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Hanson wants the takedown. Offense is fighting it off but Hanson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Offense's guard against the cage.

and Hanson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hanson.

Hanson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Offense just stands there and leans against the cage.
Hanson is pressed up against the cage. Offense has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hanson down to the mat. Hanson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Hanson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Offense but Offense pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Hanson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Offense is looking for a sweep. Hanson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hanson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
