Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sam Badam! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Austin! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Austin fails with a takedown attempt. Austin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Badam defends it nicely. Austin misses with a kick to the body.
Badam lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Austin circles away quickly and effectively. Austin showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Badam.
Badam defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Austin. Sam Badam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Austin. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Austin has a takedown stuffed. Badam pushes Austin up against the cage in a clinch. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Austin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Austin tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Badam counters by moving into the clinch. Badam is pressed up against the cage. Austin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Badam down to the mat. Badam avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Austin misses with a combination

That's four minutes gone in the round. Badam rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Austin moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Austin shoots and misses and Badam counters with a left and a right that stings Austin. Badam lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Badam closes the distance and pushes Austin back into the cage. Badam breaks the clinch.

Badam has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Austin avoids a punch combination nicely.

Steve Austin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Badam escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Austin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that's the end of the fight! Sam Badam showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Badam, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
