Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, james franco! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Trea! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! franco will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Trea darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Trea working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on franco's thigh. franco counters though and makes it back to full guard. Trea trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Trea controlling from the top position. franco really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Trea postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Trea missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Trea lands a couple of elbows. Trea is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Trea wants to pass the guard but franco is defending well. franco knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Trea on the ground. franco wants to control but Trea is keeping busy.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Trea bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in franco's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Trea dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Trea keeps the fight on the outside. Trea swats away the attempt to clinch by franco. franco scores with a leg kick.

Trea manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Trea closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Trea lands in his opponent's guard. Trea works over franco with some ground and pound from guard. Trea content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Steve Trea has got the better of the ground game so far. Trea trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Trea connects with a couple of short punches. franco is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. franco has his foot on Trea's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Trea works his way back into a safe position though. franco looking for a guillotine here but Trea defends easily.

Steve Trea showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Trea fails with the takedown. james franco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Trea. Trea tries for a takedown but franco sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Trea misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Trea shoots for a double leg takedown but franco sprawls well. He's pushed Trea's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Trea looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? franco is fending him off so far but Trea persists. Nope, franco circles away and we're back to standing. franco seems to have got his legs back now. A left and a right from franco both land. Nice combination. No luck for franco with that takedown attempt. Trea thows a left - swing and a miss! franco closes this distance looking for a takedown but Trea circles away. Trea misses with an uppercut. franco saw that one coming. Both fighters are breathing heavily. franco tries to close the distance and clinch but Trea swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. james franco is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from franco. franco slips a jab from Trea.

Uppercuts and crosses smash into Trea's face. Trea staggers backwards, shaken. franco tries to clinch up. franco tries to close the distance and clinch up but Trea swats him away and circles back towards the center. franco shoots for a takedown but Trea saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Trea shoots in but franco avoids the takedown attempt easily. Horrible takedown by Trea or perhaps it was just good defense by franco which made him look bad. Trea keeps the fight on the outside. Trea pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Trea scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Trea is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Trea with a couple of short strikes. Trea lands with some vicious ground and pound - can franco hang on? Trea landing strikes from the mount. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. franco is in a horrible position here. Trea smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
