Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spar Ken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elvis Who (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Elvis Who!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Who tries to clinch but Ken moves out of range.
Ken lands a jab-cross combination.


It looks like Elvis Who has been cut.
Who stuffs the takedown.

Who tries to keep at a distance but Ken has taken the fight into the clinch.

Ken breaks from the clinch.
Who with a lazy takedown attempt

and Ken moves into the clinch.

Ken pulls guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Who tries to stand but Ken is controlling from the bottom.
Ken looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Ken manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Who is looking to get to half guard.

Ken stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Who throws a body kick the misses
and Ken counters with a one-two to the body.

Who tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Ken counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Ken decides to return to a standing position.
Who misses with a leg kick
and Ken counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ken misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Ken shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ken blocks Who's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Who is in a horrible position here. Ken smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Who is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Ken has taken his back.
Who is taking damage to the body and head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ken is riding his opponent, not letting Who buck him off.
Who manages to reverse the position and now he's in Ken's guard. Nice work there by Who.
Who tries to stand but Ken is controlling from the bottom.
Who in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Who gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Who looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Ken clinches up with Who and pushes him back against the cage.
Who tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Ken breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Who wants to clinch

and Ken decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Who's guard.

Who pushes Ken off and gets back to his feet.

Who has closed the distance and engaged Ken in a clinch.

Who successfully pulls guard.
Who is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Who looking for a sweep. Not yet Who, not yet.
Ken trying to control the position from guard on top but Who is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Who working a defensive guard here.
Who avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Who trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Ken seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Who has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Ken has passed into side control.
Who wants to get back to his feet but Ken drags him back down.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Who gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

so Ken counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Who wants to stand up but Ken is controlling him.
Ken loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Spar Ken dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Elvis Who's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Ken avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ken tries to clinch but Who is having none of it.
Who throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Spar Ken is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Ken scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Who striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Who wants to get back to his feet but Ken drags him back down.
Ken taking a breather here.
Who gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Who moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Ken stands and steps away. Who gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Ken lands a heavy elbow.
Who tries to reverse the position but Ken maintains control.
Who swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Ken landing strikes, looking to finish!
Who working to try and regain half guard.

Ken manages to capitalize on a mistake by Who to take his back!
Ken has good solid back control here.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Ken keeping moving, preventing Who from controlling successfully.

Who scoring well with a low kick there.
Who cracks Ken with a right hand to the side of the head.
Who tries to clinch up

and Ken counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ken.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ken forces his way into half guard.
Who wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Ken's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Ken lands with a nice combination. Who backs away looking to recover.
Who throws a left and a right that both miss

and Ken counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Who's guard now.
Ken pushes down on Who's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Ken is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Who looks like he's trying to stand up.
Who moves into full guard.

Ken stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Who misses with a takedown

and Ken counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Who's guard now.

Ken is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Ken preventing the sweep.
Who is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Ken has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Who is working away from the top position though.
Who sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ken defending well though.
Ken is trying to control but can't.
Who working over Ken with some ground and pound. Ken looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Who tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Ken.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Who decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Ken changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Who looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ken decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Who pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Elvis Who seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Who scores a takedown into full mount!
Ken reaches up to try and control the position but Who seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Ken rolls and tries to escape and now Who has his back!
Ken wants to control his opponent's hands but Who gets his hands free.
A lull in the action here.
Ken is trying to get back to his feet but Who has full control of the position and if anything, Ken has just worked his way into a worse spot.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ken trying to control the action but Who just sinks the hooks in.
Who doesn't have the hooks in and Ken manages to turn into his guard.
Ken with a nice head shot there.
Who trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Ken pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Who is keeping the position for now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Who shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Ken counters with a single leg into guard. Who didn't expect that.
Who tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Ken controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Who wants to stand but Ken is controlling the position.

Ken gets to his feet - Who follows without any prompting.
Elvis Who has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Ken uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Who.
Who fails with the takedown

and Ken counters with a takedown into side control.
Spar Ken has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elvis Who.
Ken stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Ken has Who up against the cage in a clinch.
Ken has Who pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Who manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Who jumps guard.
Spar Ken overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Who has his feet on Ken's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Who takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ken tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Who swivels and escapes.
Who looks for a takedown but Ken sprawls well.
A choreographed right hand from Who misses the target.

And that's the end of the fight!
Spar Ken showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Ken has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
