Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Karol Styczen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brendan Mullen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brendan Mullen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Karol Styczen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brendan Mullen! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Styczen shoots in but no luck this time. Styczen throws a big shot that misses. Styczen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mullen swats him away and circles back towards the center. Nice takedown defense from Mullen. No joy for Styczen on that attempt. Styczen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mullen closes the distance looking to clinch and Styczen counters with a nice kick to the body. Styczen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mullen wants to clinch but Styczen slips to the side and Styczen moves into the clinch. Mullen is working for takedown but Styczen is calmly controlling the position for now. A frustrated look appears on Styczen's face as he tries to break the clinch. Styczen ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Styczen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Mullen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mullen trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mullen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Styczen keeping moving, preventing Mullen from controlling successfully. Mullen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Styczen is keeping the position for now. Mullen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Mullen advances position into side control! Mullen is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Styczen looks calm but he's in trouble here. Mullen gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Styczen is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Mullen lets go of the hold and Styczen can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Brendan Mullen!
