Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wagner Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Alcano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Alcano's choice of entrance music: Three Stars & A Sun. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wagner Junior! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Alcano! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Junior scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Alcano gets back to half guard. Alcano is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alcano moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Junior stopping the sweep attempt from Alcano. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Junior pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Alcano is keeping the position for now. Junior tries to stand but Alcano is controlling from the bottom. Alcano looking to hit a scissor sweep but Junior is one step ahead there. Junior wants to control from the top but Alcano keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Junior wants to stand but Alcano has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Alcano shoots in but no luck this time. Junior has his takedown stuffed and Alcano counters with a takedown into side control. Junior manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Alcano is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Alcano looks gassed! Junior wants to lay and pray for a moment but Alcano keeps working. Junior wants to stand up but Alcano is controlling the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Junior avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Junior lands a couple of digs. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Alcano holds on and takes a little breather. Alcano has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Junior should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Alcano has tightened it up now! Junior should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
