PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yager Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Bumphus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Till I Collapse. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bumphus lands with a slapping head kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jackson.
Bumphus doesn't manage to clinch there - Jackson circles away.
Jackson throws a chopping leg kick but Bumphus manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Bumphus throws a right and a left that both miss.

It looks like Yager Jackson has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Jackson counters with a three punch combo that has Bumphus backing up. Bumphus nods at Jackson to acknowledge the strikes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bumphus bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jackson's guard.

Bumphus lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jackson circles away quickly and effectively.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bumphus breaks the clinch.

Jackson drives through with a takedown into guard.

Jackson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bumphus manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jackson has Bumphus in his guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jackson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bumphus is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bumphus wants to get up but he can't break Jackson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jackson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
