Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gnagis Starksson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Janne Marttila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marttila is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Blue moon. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Marttila or perhaps it was just good defense by Starksson which made him look bad.
Starksson with a poor takedown
and Marttila holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Marttila is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Starksson pulls him back up using the underhooks.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Marttila wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Starksson, who protects the arm well.

Starksson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Marttila is just riding it out for now. Starksson eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Starksson tries to roll over but Marttila keeps him under control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Marttila changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Starksson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Marttila is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Marttila is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Starksson couldn't care less - he's delighted!
