PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ultimate Warrior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Warrior kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is War. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ultimate Warrior!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Foster!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foster swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Foster throws a right and a left that Warrior avoids nicely.
Foster ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Warrior moves away.

Warrior changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Foster looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Foster can do anything to dispel that myth.
Warrior trying to control the action but Foster is working from the bottom.
Foster is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Warrior sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Foster is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Foster really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Warrior. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Warrior creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Foster sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Warrior uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Foster.
Foster throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Foster must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Warrior is on top in guard.
Warrior stops Foster from standing up.
Warrior stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Foster swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ultimate Warrior overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Warrior accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Warrior has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Foster holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Warrior tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Warrior can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Foster is looking to escape.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Whack. That's a big, big shot from Warrior! Foster is out cold! This one is all over!
