Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ricky Dryupp! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Batteryus Teho! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dryupp fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Teho slips a straight right by Dryupp. Dryupp scores with a crisp jab that stopped Teho in his tracks. Teho wants to clinch. A head kick misses from Dryupp. Teho clinches with his opponent.
Dryupp misses with a body punch.
Dryupp breaks the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dryupp tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Teho swivels and escapes. Dryupp throws a head kick that misses. Teho is looking to clinch but Dryupp is avoiding it.
Teho tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dryupp swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dryupp misses with a takedown attempt - Teho sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Teho uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dryupp.
Dryupp throws a nice looking combination but Teho bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. No joy there for Dryupp, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dryupp shoots in for a takedown but Teho shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricky Dryupp. That's going to take a lot out of him. Teho misses with a straight right. Teho tries to clinch up. Dryupp takes a swing at Teho's ribcage but misses. Teho scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Dryupp has control of an arm but Teho manages to advance to Teho's back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Teho is trying to stick to Dryupp's back but Dryupp is turning into Teho. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Teho's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Dryupp. Dryupp slips nicely into half guard. Dryupp trying to pass the guard but Teho defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Teho keeping control of the position. Dryupp is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Dryupp is breathing heavily. Teho is doing well to control the position and prevent Dryupp from advancing to side control. Teho is pressing down on Dryupp's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Dryupp stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Teho swivels though and keeps the full guard. Teho seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Teho is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Teho looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Dryupp lands a couple of elbows. Teho is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Dryupp tries to free his leg and advance position but Teho is retaining full guard. Teho keeping moving, preventing Dryupp from controlling successfully. Dryupp with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Teho wants to stand and escape but Dryupp is having none of it. Dryupp throws a strike but Teho rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Teho trying to stand up but can't free himself from Dryupp's guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Teho trying to control but Dryupp is working from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Dryupp with a poor takedown and Teho counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Dryupp! Teho tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Dryupp prevents Teho from taking his back. Teho controlling his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Batteryus Teho dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Teho tries to clinch up. Dryupp misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dryupp doesn't succeed with the takedown and Teho counters with a single leg into guard. Dryupp didn't expect that. Teho avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Dryupp is trying to control the position but Teho postures up. Teho stands and steps away. Dryupp gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Teho looks to land a body kick but Dryupp moved away. Dryupp will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dryupp closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dryupp tries to stall but Teho uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Teho changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dryupp fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Dryupp throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A clash of legs there as Dryupp blocks the low kick. Teho pivots, looking for a leg kick but Dryupp is out of range and Teho settles back down. Ricky Dryupp is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Teho doesn't manage to clinch there - Dryupp circles away.
Dryupp fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Teho manages to avoid it. Teho darts in and clinches Dryupp up against the cage. Teho is working for takedown but Dryupp is calmly controlling the position for now. Dryupp trying to stall but Teho improves his position.

Ricky Dryupp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Batteryus Teho. Dryupp wants to clinch and Teho counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dryupp won't be happy with that. Teho is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dryupp knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Dryupp is looking to regain half guard here but Teho keeps moving and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dryupp wants to control but Teho postures up. Teho decides to take the fight back to the feet. Dryupp misses with a body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Dryupp misses with a takedown and Teho decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dryupp's guard. Teho passes easily into side control. Nice work. Teho trying to control the position but Dryupp is working away. Dryupp is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Dryupp gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Dryupp keeping hold of Teho's head, controlling as best he can. Dryupp is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Batteryus Teho showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Ricky Dryupp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dryupp throws out a token jab with nothing on it. The fight moves into the clinch position. Dryupp wants to break the clinch but can't.

Teho pushes down on Dryupp's leg and manages to get into half guard. Batteryus Teho has got the better of the ground game so far. Dryupp is looking to control Teho's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dryupp avoid being mounted?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dryupp looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Dryupp actively working from the bottom here. Dryupp slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Dryupp lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Teho! Dryupp looking to control but Teho is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Dryupp goes for an armbar but Teho turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Teho. Teho must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Dryupp looking for a guillotine here but Teho defends easily.

Dryupp has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Teho escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Teho! Ricky Dryupp has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dryupp is looking to reverse the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Batteryus Teho comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Teho winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
