Marcurius's entrance music is Burn in Hell by Twisted Sister. A fine choice. james walton has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Victor Gabriel Marcurius! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, james walton! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! walton slips a jab and a cross from Marcurius.
walton tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Marcurius swivels and escapes. walton fails with a takedown attempt from distance. walton fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Victor Gabriel Marcurius has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of james walton. walton gets caught flat footed, as Marcurius shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Marcurius scoring with some ground and pound. walton looking to control but Marcurius passes into half guard.
Marcurius thows a huge punch but walton dodges it nicely.
Marcurius is trying to control the action in half guard but walton is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Marcurius is looking for a kimura here.
Marcurius tries to stand and escape but walton is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. walton is trying to maintain the position but Marcurius is very close to passing his half guard. Marcurius is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so walton is just riding it out for now. Marcurius eventually gives up the hold. walton is trying to get back to full guard. Marcurius has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Marcurius is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
walton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Marcurius is working away from the top position though. walton is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Marcurius is keen to just control but walton is a slippery customer. Marcurius seems to be working for a kimura but walton defends the submission attempt. Marcurius decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. walton tries to clinch up but Marcurius circles away and keeps his distance. Marcurius blocks a head kick by walton.
walton looks gassed! Marcurius shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches walton napping and manages to drive through into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marcurius in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... walton is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Victor Gabriel Marcurius!
