Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rickson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Couture comes into the arena with The Chicken Dance blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Randy Couture!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rickson Silva!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Couture misses.
Couture bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Couture throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A cross from Silva lands.
Couture misses with a few strikes there.
Couture tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Silva swivels and escapes.
Couture will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Silva avoids the body shot from Couture.
Silva misses with a series of wild punches.
Silva closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Couture misses with a hook. Silva ducked under it nicely.
Couture blocks the body kick.
Couture throws a combination that misses
and Silva counters with a head kick. That will keep Couture thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Couture.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Randy Couture. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Couture misses with a double jab
and Silva counters with a flying knee that drops Couture! Silva dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!
