Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Strangler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Strangler comes to the cage accompanied by Rise up. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Strangler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Dean! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dean keeps the fight on the outside. Strangler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dean paws at him with a jab and circles away. Dean looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Strangler! Dean misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Dean pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Dean postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Strangler looks a forlorn figure.

That's one minute gone in the round. Dean controlling the position from side mount. Let's hope that Dean has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Dean working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Dean throws a strike aimed at the side of Strangler's head but Strangler avoids it well. Strangler is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Dean's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Strangler is looking to control Dean's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Strangler avoid being mounted? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dean missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Dean seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Strangler does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Dean trying to control the pace. Dean wants to advance to full mount but Strangler doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Dean won't allow Strangler to sweep him here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Dean looking to sit in guard and control but Strangler gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Strangler working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Dean's head. Strangler wants to control from the top but Dean keeps moving. Dean is working an open guard so Strangler takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dean shoots for a double leg takedown but Strangler sprawls well. He's pushed Dean's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Dean looks gassed! Dean shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Strangler sprawls well. Strangler wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dean gets slowly back to his feet. Dean throws a right and a left that both miss. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but James Dean will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
The fight stays on the outside here - Strangler looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Strangler blocks a jab. Dean shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Dean tries to clinch but Strangler moves away and Strangler moves into the clinch. Strangler lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Dean backwards. Dean jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Strangler walks away with a smile on his face. Dean gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Dean misses with a takedown and Strangler counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Jimmy Strangler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Dean. The crowd cheers as Strangler lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dean doesn't seem phased though.
It looks like James Dean has been cut. Strangler connects with a solid leg kick. Dean is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Excellent takedown into side control there by Strangler. Strangler tries to move to mount but Dean blocks the move with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strangler connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Dean some visible discomfort.
Dean tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Strangler presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Strangler postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dean looks a forlorn figure.

Strangler is landing with some decent strikes but Dean is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Strangler cracks Dean with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Strangler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The referee warns Dean that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Strangler dominated that second round. The cut man is working on James Dean's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Dean takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Dean tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Strangler counters by clinching up. Strangler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's one minute gone in the round. Dean takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Strangler is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Dean looking to sit in guard and control but Strangler gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Strangler moves into range and clinches up with Dean. Dean jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Strangler walks away with a smile on his face. Dean gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Strangler.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strangler walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Dean checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Strangler closes the distance and pushes Dean back into the cage. Dean is trying to break the clinch but Strangler has him pressed against the cage. Strangler misses with a knee to the head. Strangler has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Dean uses from the top position. Strangler keeping full guard, as Dean tries to pass. Dean slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Dean trying to control the position from guard on top but Strangler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Strangler trying to keep a closed guard but Dean is proving a slippery customer.
Dean trying to stand up but can't free himself from Strangler's guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Strangler has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dean can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
And that's the end of the fight! Jimmy Strangler showed his dominance in that final round. Well Strangler has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
