Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lazaro Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Odin Painhammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Odin Painhammer! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romero moves into the clinch. Painhammer breaks the clinch.
Romero fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Romero moves into range and clinches up with Painhammer. Romero misses with a hook from the clinch. Romero's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! The referee calls for Romero to work.

Painhammer tries to clinch up and Romero counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Romero decides to return to a standing position. Romero fails with an attempt to clinch.
Romero closes this distance looking for a takedown but Painhammer circles away. Romero is breathing heavily. Romero shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Painhammer doesn't manage to clinch there - Romero circles away.
Romero takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Painhammer lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Romero letting Painhammer take a breather here. Painhammer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Romero walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Painhammer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Romero, pushing him back against the cage. Romero is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Painhammer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Romero takes a swing at Painhammer's ribcage but misses. Romero misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Romero keeps the fight on the outside. Painhammer throws a sloppy head kick and Romero moves out of range easily. Romero fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Romero fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Painhammer, pushing him back against the cage. Romero breaks the clinch.
Romero checks a low kick from Painhammer. Romero plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Romero fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Painhammer tries to clinch but fails miserably and Romero counters by clinching up. Romero throws a punch but it's blocked by Painhammer. Romero tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Painhammer just stands there and leans against the cage. Painhammer wants to break free but Romero has control.
Painhammer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A low kick from Painhammer is predictable there and Romero counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Painhammer clinches but Romero breaks the clinch and Romero counters by clinching up. Romero fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Romero tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Painhammer smiles and moves away.
Painhammer closes the distance looking to clinch and Romero decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Painhammer's guard. Romero looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Romero won't allow Painhammer to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Painhammer is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Painhammer looking to hit a scissor sweep but Romero is one step ahead there. Painhammer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Romero is controlling him. Painhammer is trying to control the position but Romero postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Painhammer drives through and clinches with Romero against the cage.

Painhammer chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Romero can pounce on him.

Painhammer wants to clinch but Romero slips to the side and Romero counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Romero shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Romero was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Romero connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Romero controlling the pace for now. Painhammer's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Painhammer can't escape the position.

Odin Painhammer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Painhammer clinches but Romero breaks the clinch so Romero counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Painhammer wants to stand but Romero is controlling the position. Romero trying to control the position from guard on top but Painhammer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Romero is standing up over Painhammer. Painhammer looks to escape but Romero dives into side control.
Painhammer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Romero. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Romero advances to mount. Romero controlling from the full mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Romero looking for a guillotine from mount but Painhammer is having none of it.

Painhammer is squirming around, avoiding Romero's attempts to control the action. Romero with the ground and pound from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Romero lands with some strikes. Romero controlling from the full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Romero lands a nice shot to the head. Romero looking to control and managing it successfully. Romero wants to finish this one by submission but Painhammer is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Romero. Romero controlling the pace for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Romero seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Painhammer for as long as he can get away with.

Romero breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Romero closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Painhammer to the mat! Painhammer manages to get full guard. Romero controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Painhammer trying to control the position.
Painhammer wants to get back to his feet but Romero is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Romero controlling from the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Painhammer keeping moving, preventing Romero from controlling successfully. Painhammer is looking to stand up but Romero isn't so interested in that idea. Painhammer is wriggling around but Romero manages to pass to half guard.
Romero works his way into full mount! Romero scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Romero working Painhammer over with strikes here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lazaro Romero dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
A slapping body kick lands there for Romero. Painhammer moves into range and clinches up with Romero. Romero manages to pull guard.
Painhammer tries to stand but Romero is controlling from the bottom. Romero is looking for a triangle here but Painhammer uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Painhammer throws a big right hand that misses. Romero wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Painhammer wants to stand but Romero is controlling his posture from full guard. Romero is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Romero looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Romero wants to lay and pray for a moment but Painhammer keeps working. Painhammer tries to roll over but Romero keeps him under control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Romero is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Painhammer is just riding it out for now. Romero eventually gives up the hold. Painhammer tries to get to full guard but Romero has control of the leg. Romero is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Romero perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Romero prevents Painhammer from escaping the position. Painhammer is looking to regain half guard here but Romero keeps moving and retains side control. Painhammer is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Painhammer is looking for a sweep. Romero advances to full mount. Painhammer defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Romero. Romero working away from the top, dropping strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Painhammer in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Painhammer wants to get back to his feet.
A nice elbow there by Romero. Painhammer wants to try and get back to his feet. Romero takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Romero looking to secure an arm triangle but Painhammer defends it well. Odin Painhammer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Painhammer is trying to stand.
And that's the end of the fight! Lazaro Romero showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Romero, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
