Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ed Deline (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julian Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Carter's choice of entrance music: Oh Lets Do it. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ed Deline! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julian Carter! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter throws a nice looking combination but Deline bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign! Deline fails with a takedown attempt. No luck for Deline with that takedown attempt. Carter lands with a kick to the ribs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Deline fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ed Deline. That's going to take a lot out of him. Deline tries for a takedown but Carter sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter closes the distance and clinches. Carter pulls guard. Deline prevents Carter from getting back to his feet. Carter is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Carter pulls Deline into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carter wants to stand but Deline is controlling the position. Carter has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Deline off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Deline dives in and grabs Carter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Carter pushes down on Deline's head and hops out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Deline takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Carter clinches with his opponent.

Deline pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Deline could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Horrible takedown by Deline or perhaps it was just good defense by Carter which made him look bad. Deline fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Carter is out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Deline tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Carter finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Carter fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Deline, pushing him back against the cage. Carter gets control of Deline's arms and successfully pulls guard. Carter will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Deline won't allow Carter to get back to his feet. Deline trying to control the position from guard on top but Carter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Carter has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Deline off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Deline throws a leg kick and Deline takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Deline throws a combination that misses letting Carter counter with a right hand. Carter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Deline. A head kick by Deline misses and Carter counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Carter. Carter has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Deline uses from the top position. Carter is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Deline is controlling him. Deline controlling from the top position. Carter manages to escape and get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Julian Carter dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Carter shoots in but Deline avoids the takedown attempt easily. Deline misses with a takedown and Carter counters with a single leg into guard. Deline didn't expect that. Carter works over Deline with some ground and pound from guard. Carter scoring with some ground and pound. Carter throws a big right hand that misses. Deline trying to control the position.
Deline is adopting a defensive guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Carter throws a big right hand that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter postures up and lands a big shot to Deline's brow. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Deline holds on and takes a little breather. Carter landing some decent shots from guard. Carter throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Deline works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Carter throws a big right hand that misses. Carter throws a strike but Deline rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Carter is looking to stand up but Deline isn't so interested in that idea. Carter has his feet on Deline's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Ed Deline seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Deline misses with a combination
letting Carter counter with a right hand. Deline closes the distance but Carter moves to the side and Carter counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Deline avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Carter. Deline blocking the ground and pound attempt from Carter. Deline wants to control but Carter is keeping busy and won't allow it. Carter slips a nice elbow through Deline's hands, connecting with Deline's forehead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Deline is trying to maintain the position but Carter is very close to passing his half guard. Deline throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Deline tries to get to full guard but Carter has control of the leg. Deline is working hard here to advance position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Carter throws a head kick that Deline semi-blocks.
Carter closes the distance and pushes Deline back into the cage. Carter drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Deline drags the fight down to the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Carter trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Carter keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Deline's head. Carter landing some decent shots from guard. Deline preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Carter postures up in Deline's guard and throws a big left but Deline blocks it. Carter landing some decent shots from guard. Carter content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Deline is on top in guard.
Deline throws a big right hand that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Julian Carter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Deline's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Deline with a poor takedown and Carter counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Carter explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Carter fails with an attempt to clinch.
Carter drives through and clinches with Deline against the cage.
Carter ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Carter no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Carter is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Deline stands and steps away. Carter gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Deline drops his hands momentarily and Carter takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Deline tries to clinch and Carter counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Deline manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Carter manages to get himself to full guard.
Carter is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Deline is controlling him. Deline drops back looking for a leg! Carter is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Carter manages to kick Deline off! Deline jumps back into Carter's guard. Deline wants to stand but Carter has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter kicks Deline off and gets to his feet. Deline throws a head kick that misses and Carter counters with a body kick. Deline tries for a takedown but Carter circles away easily and Carter counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Carter. Carter throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Deline works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Deline might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Carter missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Deline is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Deline preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Deline is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Carter throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Carter lands a couple of elbows.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Deline clinches but Carter breaks the clinch and Carter cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Both fighters circling a little - Carter finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Carter has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Deline fails with the takedown and Carter counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Carter. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ed Deline. That's going to take a lot out of him. Deline trying to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carter avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Carter content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Deline is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Ed Deline has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Carter postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
And that's the end of the fight! Julian Carter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Carter has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
