Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Craig Brophy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benny Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benny Phillips will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Brophy showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Phillips.
Brophy closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Phillips is trying to stand back up but Brophy is controlling him

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Phillips connects with a good right hand that stumbles Brophy. Brophy circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Phillips just misses with a punch to the body.

Brophy stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Phillips tries to keep at a distance but Brophy has taken the fight into the clinch.

Phillips gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Brophy.
Brophy jumps guard but Phillips stands there with Brophy around his waist. Brophy gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Brophy has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Phillips avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Brophy tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Brophy drops down looking for an ankle pick but Phillips pulls his leg out and moves away.

Phillips throws a right hand that Brophy ducks under and follows up with a left that Brophy also avoids with ease.
Phillips sizes up Brophy with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Brophy doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Phillips misses with a body shot.
Brophy takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Phillips lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Brophy is rocked!
Phillips might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Phillips connects with a nice cross there... Brophy is looking wobbly and Phillips recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Brophy to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Phillips jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
