Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Artur Szpilka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Semak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Artur Szpilka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andrei Semak! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Szpilka shoots in and bounces Semak off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Szpilka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Semak swivels though and keeps the full guard. Semak has a closed guard, preventing Szpilka from standing up. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Semak can do anything to dispel that myth. Szpilka wants to control from the top but Semak keeps moving. Szpilka decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Semak, up you get! Szpilka gets the takedown into side control. Szpilka tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Szpilka has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Szpilka working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Semak tries to buck Szpilka off but Szpilka is having none of it. Szpilka looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Szpilka is breathing heavily. Szpilka is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Semak is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Semak wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Szpilka looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Semak is trying to improve his position. Szpilka trying to control the position but Semak is working away.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A slapping leg kick lands for Semak.
Szpilka swats away the attempt to clinch by Semak. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Semak lands with a kick to the ribs.
Semak throws a nice inside leg kick. Semak throws a right hand that Szpilka ducks under and follows up with a left that Szpilka also avoids with ease. Semak tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Szpilka paws at him with a jab and circles away. Semak throws a leg kick which misses Szpilka's front leg but catches the back leg as Szpilka tries to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Semak instigates a clinch. Szpilka takes a knee to the side of the body. Semak connects with a nasty looking knee right to Szpilka's face.
Semak is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Semak scores with a knee to the head.
Semak crunches a lovely knee into Szpilka's ribcage. Knees in the clinch landing for Semak.
Semak is pushing Szpilka up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Semak connects with a knee to the head.

Semak tries to pull guard but Szpilka won't allow it.
Semak pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Semak darts in and clinches Szpilka up against the cage. Semak breaks the clinch.
Semak is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Semak goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Semak lands a head kick!
Szpilka fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Semak avoids it really well and circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Semak throws a leg kick which misses Szpilka's front leg but catches the back leg as Szpilka tries to avoid it. Szpilka keeps the fight on the outside. Semak closes the distance and pushes Szpilka back into the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Semak with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Szpilka drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Semak gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Semak obliges. A knee to the head by Semak.
Semak stalling in the clinch but Szpilka improves position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Semak scores a nice knee to the body.
Semak using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Szpilka has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Szpilka changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Semak fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Artur Szpilka. That's going to take a lot out of him. Semak with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Andrei Semak dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Szpilka shoots in but Semak avoids the takedown attempt easily. Szpilka shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Semak defends it nicely. Semak lands a head kick!

Semak throws a punch but it's blocked by Szpilka. Szpilka has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Semak is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Semak pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Semak rushes Szpilka and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Szpilka looking for a takedown. Semak crunches a lovely knee into Szpilka's ribcage. Semak lands a nice uppercut. Semak landing knees to the head.
Semak is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Semak breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Both fighters circling a little - Semak finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Semak throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Szpilka. Szpilka takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Semak goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Semak throws a nice outside leg kick. Semak tries to clinch there but Szpilka circles away.

Szpilka chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Semak can pounce on him.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Szpilka. Szpilka closes the distance and clinches up with Semak, looking for a takedown. Szpilka pushes Semak against the cage but Semak circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Szpilka is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Semak scores with a head kick.
Szpilka throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Semak's waist but Semak gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Szpilka off to one side. Semak forces Szpilka back against the cage and clinches. Semak landing knees to the body.
Szpilka has Semak pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Semak manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Semak crunches a lovely knee into Szpilka's ribcage. Szpilka tries to score a body lock takedown but Semak shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Semak pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A nice inside leg kick there by Semak. That's going to slow Szpilka down. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Szpilka crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Semak - the referee stops the clock and Szpilka gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Semak. Szpilka manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Szpilka closes the distance and clinches up with Semak, looking for a takedown. Szpilka pushes Semak against the cage but Semak circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Szpilka blocks a head kick by Semak.
A solid leg kick lands there for Semak.
Szpilka drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Szpilka has hold of Semak's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Semak tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Szpilka cranks the arm and Semak screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Semak, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Artur Szpilka!
