Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Steve Murder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike McDougal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murder has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Murder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike McDougal!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDougal connects with a high kick.
McDougal shoots in but no luck this time.
Steve Murder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McDougal lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Murder with a lazy takedown attempt

and McDougal counters with a shoot takedown. Murder fights it but they end up in guard.
Murder is breathing heavily.
McDougal trying to control but Murder is working from the bottom.

Murder has his feet on McDougal's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

McDougal shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Murder wants to get back to his feet.
Murder is in a horrible position here. McDougal smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
McDougal is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Murder can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
McDougal fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Murder is in a horrible position here. McDougal smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Murder bucks McDougal off and manages to get back to his feet!
Murder falls off balance throwing a combination

and McDougal counters with a single leg into guard. Murder didn't expect that.
McDougal really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Murder. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Murder keeping moving, preventing McDougal from controlling successfully.
Murder utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Murder is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Murder shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and McDougal counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McDougal is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
McDougal works his way into side control.
McDougal trying to control the action but Murder is working from the bottom.
Murder is letting McDougal control him for a moment.
McDougal is looking to take a break and control but Murder is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Murder trying to remain calm as McDougal controls from the top position.

Despite being in the dominant position, Mike McDougal just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
McDougal plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

McDougal looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Murder!
Murder is looking to improve his position but McDougal isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Murder is staying active underneath McDougal, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
McDougal scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

McDougal is trying for a kimura here. Murder looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! McDougal wins by kimura!
