Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ghafoor throws a right and a left that both miss.
Instructor tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ghafoor swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ghafoor misses with a body shot.
Omar Ghafoor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Instructor ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Instructor tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ghafoor paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ghafoor misses with a straight right.
Ghafoor ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Instructor moves away.
Instructor avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ghafoor changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Instructor fails with an attempt to clinch.
Instructor wants to clinch.
A head kick misses from Instructor.
Ghafoor lands a jab to Instructor's midsection.
Ghafoor lands a left and a right that send Instructor crashing to the mat, dazed. Ghafoor thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Instructor dodges the punch combination from Ghafoor.

Ghafoor fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ghafoor cracks Instructor with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Instructor looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Ghafoor finish him?
Instructor looks gassed!
Ghafoor dances in with a quick combination. Instructor is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Ghafoor snaps Instructor's head back. Instructor stumbles backwards against the cage. Ghafoor steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Instructor's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Instructor just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Omar Ghafoor!
