The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maya throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vioto.
Maya throws a chopping leg kick but Vioto manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Maya misses with a double jab.

Maya decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vioto is looking for a sweep. Maya is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Vioto gets full guard.
Maya pushes down on Vioto's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Vioto throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Maya gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Maya misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Maya counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Maya throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

That's time! Vioto's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Vioto doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Maya throws a head kick but Vioto moves out of range.

and Maya counters with a crisp one two that drops Vioto! Maya thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Vioto to his feet! Vioto is in big trouble!

Oh Vioto is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Maya throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Vioto seems to have got his legs back now.

Maya lands with a big right hook that stumbles Vioto - he's out on his feet here! Maya follows up with another monster hook that separates Vioto from consciousness! Vioto falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Maya stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
