Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Junior Arruda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West doesn't manage to clinch there - Arruda circles away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Arruda.
West looks to score with a jab to the body but Arruda is just out of range.
West tries to move into range but Arruda moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Arruda has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if West can do anything to dispel that myth.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
