Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Bourdeau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Samuel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bourdeau's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Fall out boy- From now on we are enemies. Samuel has chosen Imma Do It as his entrance music. 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Samuel! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Steve Montenegro and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bourdeau is looking to clinch but Samuel is avoiding it.
Samuel shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bourdeau manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Bourdeau is looking for a triangle but Samuel pushes his legs off easily.
Samuel is looking to work some ground and pound but Bourdeau has wrist control. Samuel trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Samuel looking to pass the guard. Samuel keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Bourdeau's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Samuel wants to stand and escape but Bourdeau is having none of it. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bourdeau misses with an uppercut. Samuel saw that one coming. Bourdeau lands a left and a right that send Samuel crashing to the mat, dazed. Bourdeau thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Samuel is rocked!
It looks like George Samuel has been cut. Bourdeau tries for a takedown but Samuel circles away easily and Samuel counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Samuel. Samuel in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Bourdeau is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Samuel looks like he's trying to stand up.
