Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Grant Warburton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Beer!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beer gets the takedown into side control.
Beer tries to move to full mount but Warburton actually manages to regain half guard.
Warburton has a hand on Beer's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Beer takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Warburton on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Warburton tries to get out of the position.
Beer prevents Warburton from getting the reversal.
Warburton tries to hold on but Beer pushes him away.
Beer controlling his opponent.
Warburton could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Beer tries to control but Warburton wriggling away.

Warburton is desperately trying to improve his position but Beer has a good base and remains in mount.
Warburton tries to hold on but Beer postures up.
Warburton keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Beer looking to control but Warburton is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Warburton holds of for dear life.
Beer has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Warburton's face.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Beer is landing with some decent strikes but Warburton is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Beer can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Warburton is looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Warburton is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Warburton throws a series of punches but Beer moves out of range.
Beer shoots in but no luck this time.
Beer shoots in for a takedown but Warburton shows good takedown defense.
The fight stays on the outside here - Beer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Beer shoots in but Warburton avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Grant Warburton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Beer.

Warburton is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Beer is trying to stand up here but Warburton is controlling him well.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Warburton connects with a nice short shot to Beer's temple.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Warburton is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Warburton throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Warburton lands with a punch from half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Warburton lands a nice short elbow.

Warburton is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Warburton wants to pass the guard but Beer is defending well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Beer tries to clinch up but Warburton circles away and keeps his distance.
Grant Warburton is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Beer is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Warburton misses with a series of wild punches.
Warburton scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Beer doesn't seem bothered though.
Beer is looking to clinch.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Beer avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Beer throws a hook but Warburton blocks it.

Warburton shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Warburton goes for an armbar but Beer turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Beer.
Beer won't allow Warburton to sweep him here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Warburton throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Beer is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Grant Warburton dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Beer wants to clinch.
Warburton throws a solid leg kick but Beer takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Warburton.

Warburton instigates a clinch.
Beer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Beer gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Warburton.
Warburton will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Beer up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Beer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Beer tries to clinch

and Warburton decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Beer's guard.
Warburton won't allow Beer to sweep him here.
Beer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Beer throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Beer manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Beer wants to control the pace but Warburton is squirming around nicely.

Warburton is trying desperately to improve position.

Warburton keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Beer is going olschool here, as he tries to force Warburton to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Warburton shrugs it off.

Grant Warburton showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Warburton has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
