And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Djere pinned against the cage. Djere gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Djere fails with the takedown

and Jones counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones moves nicely into side control.

Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Djere is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Djere is breathing heavily.
Jones trying to control the action but Djere is working from the bottom.
Djere being controlled for a moment.

Jones has hold of Djere's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Djere tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Jones cranks the arm and Djere screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Djere, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
