Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Wasabi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Squishy!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wasabi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wasabi looks to land a left hand but Squishy moved out of range nicely.
No joy there for Squishy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wasabi connects with a right hand. Squishy shakes it off.
Squishy keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Squishy punishes Wasabi's body with a nice straight punch.
Wasabi avoids the body shot from Squishy.
Squishy lands with a hook. Wasabi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Squishy dodges the punch combination from Wasabi.
A combination from Squishy does no damage.
Wasabi swinging wilding here.
Squishy steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wasabi.
Squishy slips a jab and a cross from Wasabi.
Wasabi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Wasabi throws a big shot that misses.
Squishy fails to land with a series of punches.
A jab lands there for Squishy.
Wasabi is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Squishy tries to bum rush Wasabi with a series of wild strikes but Wasabi uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Squishy swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Squishy throws a jab but it's blocked by Wasabi.
Squishy bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Wasabi is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Squishy scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Oh Wasabi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Squishy works Wasabi's body with a nice hook.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Squishy ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Wasabi's jaw. Wasabi's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Squishy does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Steve Squishy!
