Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Heath Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kieron King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Men at Work - Land Down Under. Kieron King has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Heath Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kieron King! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. King scores with a couple of good hammerfists. King not landing any meaningful shots this time. King looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The fighters are battling for position here. Sanchez manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Sanchez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. King manages to get himself to full guard.
King is controlling Sanchez's posture. King really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanchez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. King is looking to improve his position.
King is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if King can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. King looking for submissions off his back. King is trying to get back to full guard. Sanchez throwing shots but King is blocking nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. King is defending against the submission attempts here by Sanchez.
Sanchez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sanchez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and King defends it well. King pushes Sanchez off looking to stand but Sanchez dives back in and keeps control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Heath Sanchez will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
King is looking to clinch. King shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. King dominating with strikes here. King wants to control the pace but Sanchez is squirming around nicely. King moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Sanchez has worked his arm free - good work by Sanchez!
King works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Sanchez manages to work his way to half guard, despite King's best efforts.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez is trying to defend against the ground and pound but King scores with a couple of nice shots. Sanchez regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from King. King stands and steps away. Sanchez gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. King is breathing heavily. King feints and as Sanchez raises his hands in defense, King changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Sanchez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in King's guard. King working a defensive guard here.
Sanchez won't allow King to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. King is trying to hold Sanchez in close to prevent damage but Sanchez has managed to pass into half guard.
King wants to improve his position but Sanchez is controlling well.
Sanchez frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez working for a submission but King is keeping him at bay. King is looking to improve his position but Sanchez isn't that keen on the idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Sanchez. King trying desperately to get to his feet.
King tries to hold on but Sanchez postures up. Sanchez landing strikes from the mount and King is in trouble! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Heath Sanchez will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!
No luck with that takedown attempt from King. King fails with a takedown attempt from distance. King tries to clinch up. King moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Sanchez misses with a takedown and King makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Sanchez really felt that one! Sanchez misses with a takedown so King counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Kingis looking to pass into half guard but Sanchez pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Sanchez is in guard. Sanchez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sanchez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Both fighters are breathing heavily. King throws his legs up looking for a submission but Sanchez uses it to pass to side control.
Sanchez cracks King with an elbow. That is naaassty.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sanchez is working to tighten is grip on King's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. King has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Sanchez is really squeezing tight and eventually King passes out! Sanchez breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Heath Sanchez!
