The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blunts throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Blunts shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gold is trying to defend but Blunts finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Gold avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Blunts. Blunts working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Gold's thigh. Gold counters though and makes it back to full guard. Blunts trying to control the position from guard on top but Gold is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Blunts forces his way into half guard. Blunts is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Gold as he works his way to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gold avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Blunts. Gold controlling the position for now. Blunts trying to control the action but Gold is working from the bottom. Blunts has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Blunts prevents Gold from improving his position. Gold is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Blunts's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Blunts's back! Gold avoiding Blunts 's attempts to control his hands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Blunts tries to break free.
Blunts breaks Gold's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gold preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Blunts wants to control from the top but Gold keeps moving. Blunts wants to pass the guard but Gold is keeping the position. Gold utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Gold working a defensive guard here.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Gold swings and misses with a shot to the body and Blunts cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blunts shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Blunts not landing any meaningful shots this time. Blunts thows a huge punch but Gold dodges it nicely.
Blunts is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Gold has managed to free his arm - good work. Blunts trying to mount his opponent but Gold defends it. Gold wants to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Blunts is just content to waste time from the top position. Gold takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Blunts trying to control the position from guard on top but Gold is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Gold tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Blunts was well out of range. Poor timing from Gold. Gold misses the body punch and Blunts counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Blunts loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Gold keeping moving, preventing Blunts from controlling successfully. Blunts is looking to work some ground and pound but Gold has wrist control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
J Blunts dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Blunts looks to land a left hand but Gold moved out of range nicely. Gold swings away with a leg kick that misses. Blunts misses with a hook. Gold shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Blunts tries to roll over but Gold keeps him under control. Gold slows the pace down in half guard. Blunts is looking for a sweep. Gold is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blunts gets back to full guard.
Gold not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Blunts looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gold is one step ahead there. Gold trying to control the position from guard on top but Blunts is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Blunts thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Blunts is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Gold keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Blunts is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gold's half guard. Blunts is trying to control. Gold wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Gold wants to get back to his feet. Blunts wants to take a breather but Gold is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blunts looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Gold tries to get to full guard but Blunts has control of the leg. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gold wants to control but Blunts is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Blunts trying to control the action but Gold is working from the bottom.

Blunts throws an overhand right that lands on Gold's shoulder, as Gold tries to avoid the shot. Blunts dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gold. That did some damage! Blunts fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. J Blunts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gold walks into a jab. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Blunts cracks the inside of Gold's front leg. Blunts lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Gold avoids the body shot from Blunts.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
J Blunts showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Gold uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Blunts. Blunts throws out a leg kick but Gold moves out of range and Blunts only half commits. Gold connects with a crisp jab. Gold moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Gold tries a low kick but Blunts avoids it. The fighters circling - Gold throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Blunts throws a shot from downtown. Gold moves away and avoids it. Gold misses with an uppercut. Blunts scores a takedown into full mount! Blunts punching from mount but Gold doing a good job of avoiding damage. Gold looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
That's one minute gone in the round. Gold rolls, trying to escape but Blunts keeps control of the position.
Gold wants to control his opponent's hands but Blunts gets his hands free. Well, with Blunts on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Gold is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Even with his hooks in, Blunts manages to miss with strikes from the back. Blunts throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Blunts is persistently looking for the submission but Gold is defending it well.
Gold is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Blunts throwing wild punches that miss their target. Blunts lands an elbow to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Gold fending off the submission attempt from Blunts. Blunts missing with punches from the back. Blunts is hanging on to Gold's back as he tries to escape.
Gold turns into Blunts and is now in his guard.
Gold trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gold not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Blunts wants to sweep but no luck. Blunts lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gold! Gold is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Jamie Gold has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! J Blunts is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Gold gets back to half guard. Blunts content to control rather than advance. Gold tries to roll over but Blunts keeps him under control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Gold on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Gold is looking to improve his position.
Blunts seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gold does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Blunts slows the pace down in half guard. Blunts trying to control from half guard but Gold is working away.
And that's the end of the fight! J Blunts comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Blunts has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
