Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Myers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Balboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Myers's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Down with the Sickness. Balboa has chosen eye of the tiger as his entrance music. Rocky Balboa has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rocky Balboa!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balboa moves out of range of the body kick from Myers.

It looks like Rocky Balboa has been cut.

Myers sneaks out the side door and pushes Balboa away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Balboa drops back, looking for a kneebar! Myers looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Myers looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Myers!

Myers tries to close the distance and clinch but Balboa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Myers lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Balboa circles away quickly and effectively.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Balboa has control of Myers's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Myers regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Balboa is landing with some decent strikes but Myers is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
