Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Austin Rocha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Zarate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rocha comes to the cage accompanied by Hell Yeah. Daniel Zarate has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Austin Rocha's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Austin Rocha! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Zarate! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rocha is defended easily by Zarate. Zarate fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rocha circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rocha gets in close and instigates a clinch. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Zarate is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Zarate manages to break the clinch.
Rocha fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Zarate clinches but Rocha breaks the clinch and Rocha counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Zarate has one foot on Rocha's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Zarate tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Rocha counters with a nice kick to the body. Rocha scores with a takedown into Zarate's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rocha trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Zarate pushes Rocha off and gets back to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rocha. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Austin Rocha. That's going to take a lot out of him. Zarate looks to clinch and Rocha counters by moving into the clinch. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Rocha ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Rocha no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Zarate is looking to stand up but Rocha won't let him. Zarate gets to his feet. Rocha looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zarate tries to clinch and Rocha counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Rocha is breathing heavily. Rocha wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zarate keeps working. Zarate manages to escape and get back to his feet! Zarate looks to clinch and Rocha counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rocha wants to control but Zarate is keeping him busy. Rocha stops Zarate from getting back to his feet.
Rocha is keen to just control but Zarate is a slippery customer.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Zarate closes the distance but Rocha moves to the side and Rocha counters with a takedown into side control. Zarate is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rocha is trying to move to mount but Zarate reverses beautifully and ends up in Rocha's guard. Rocha is working an open guard so Zarate takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Zarate tries to clinch up and Rocha counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Zarate! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Austin Rocha dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Zarate darts in trying to clinch and Rocha holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Rocha prevents Zarate from breaking the clinch. Rocha on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Rocha fails to pull guard.
Rocha lands a body punch. Nice elbow from Zarate. A short body shot lands from Rocha as the two fighters clinch.
Zarate breaks the clinch.
Rocha closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Rocha prevents Zarate from escaping the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Zarate bucks up and tries to throw Rocha off but instead Rocha has got his back! Zarate is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Austin Rocha overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zarate looking very determined here, making life difficult for Rocha.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Zarate avoids the strikes from Rocha. Zarate trying to get back to his feet but Rocha is in full control for now. Rocha tries to get the hooks in deep but Zarate pushed the leg off. Zarate trying to get back to his feet but Rocha is in full control for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rocha working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Zarate is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Rocha.
Zarate holding both Rocha 's hands and preventing any damage. Rocha misses with an elbow to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Zarate has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Rocha throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Zarate wants to get back to his feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rocha is looking to control Zarate but Zarate is wriggling around and keeping busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Austin Rocha dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Zarate clinches but Rocha breaks the clinch and Rocha counters with a single leg into guard. Zarate didn't expect that. Zarate wants to stand but Rocha is controlling the position. Rocha is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Zarate wants to stand and escape but Rocha is having none of it. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rocha controls from within his opponent's guard. Zarate is looking to stand up but Rocha isn't so interested in that idea. Zarate scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Zarate wants to clinch and Rocha counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rocha prevents Zarate from standing back up.
Rocha wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zarate keeps working. Rocha stops Zarate from getting back to his feet.
Rocha is looking to take a break and control but Zarate is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Zarate wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zarate kicks Rocha off and gets back to his feet. Zarate tries to clinch but Rocha moves away and Rocha counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Zarate tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Rocha manages to move to mount!
You get the feeling that Zarate really doesn't like being in this position too much.
The referee warns Zarate that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Zarate is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rocha looking to control but Zarate is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Zarate wants to get back to his feet.
Rocha forces the positional change into back control. What can Zarate do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
And that's the end of the fight! Austin Rocha showed his dominance in that final round. Well Rocha has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
