Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tron McFly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Blixt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McFly comes to the cage accompanied by I Disappear by Metalica. Blixt has chosen Stretch Arm Strong - Second Chances as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Blixt!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blixt circles away from the clinch attempt.
Blixt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Blixt misses with a low kick.
McFly avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Blixt darts in trying to clinch
and McFly counters with a nice low kick that buckles Blixt's knee momentarily.

Blixt wants to clinch but McFly slips to the side
and McFly counters with a head kick that drops Blixt to the mat! Blixt scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Blixt scores with a shot to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
No joy there for McFly, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Blixt forces McFly back against the cage and clinches.
McFly takes a knee right on the jaw!
Blixt jumps guard and drags McFly to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
McFly slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Blixt looking for subs off his back but McFly has passed one foot through into half guard.

Blixt wants to control but McFly is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Blixt might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control McFly kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Blixt using the Thai plumb to throw knees but McFly has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Blixt jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as McFly walks away with a smile on his face. Blixt gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
McFly pushes Blixt up against the cage in a clinch.

McFly trying to stand up but can't free himself from Blixt's guard.

McFly would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blixt working for a triangle but McFly defends it easily.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Blixt is looking to clinch but McFly is avoiding it.

Blixt throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! McFly escapes and throws Blixt's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Blixt's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Blixt is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Blixt looking for a sweep but McFly has passed into full mount! Oh no!

McFly trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Blixt is trying desperately to improve position.
Blixt prevents any damage by holding on tight.

McFly can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Blixt is looking to escape.

Jay Blixt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

and McFly counters with a big head kick but Blixt shrugs it off.

Tron McFly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Blixt.
Blixt blocks an elbow strike.
Blixt throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Blixt ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Blixt no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Blixt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Blixt is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Blixt isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. McFly stacks Blixt on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by McFly!

Blixt is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

McFly wants to control the action but instead Blixt gets a body lock and reverses into McFly's guard! Nice work!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Blixt looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Let's hope that Blixt has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
