Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Walley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Greene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Greene is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Cowboy - Kid Rock. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Walley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Randy Greene!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Joseph Jones and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greene is looking to land body kicks.
Walley shoots for a takedown but Greene saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Greene gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Greene manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Greene really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Walley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Greene manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Greene working away from the top, dropping strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Walley is in all sorts of trouble here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Walley wants to improve his position but Greene is controlling well.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Walley is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Greene pulls his head out easily.
Walley is breathing heavily.

Greene is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Greene takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Greene keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Greene looks to throw the jab but Walley is out of range.
Greene closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Walley tries to clinch but Greene moves away

and Greene counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Greene gets to his feet - Walley follows without any prompting.

Greene has managed to clinch.
Greene is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Walley gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Greene is pressed up against the cage. Walley has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Greene down to the mat. Greene avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Walley. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Walley tries to clinch up but Greene circles away and keeps his distance.

Jack Walley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Greene counters by clinching up.
Walley can't get the takedown.
Walley goes for a takedown in the clinch but Greene prevents it.
Greene prevents a takedown attempt there.

Greene breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Walley tries to clinch up

and Greene counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Walley looking for a sweep. Not yet Walley, not yet.

Greene drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Greene jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Walley is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Greene manages to get to full guard.
Greene pulls Walley in close to his closed guard and prevents Walley from doing any damage or advancing position.
Greene is looking to stand up but Walley isn't so interested in that idea.
Greene keeping full guard, as Walley tries to pass.
Greene bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Walley's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Greene wants to pass the guard but Walley is keeping the position.

Greene gets to his feet - Walley follows without any prompting.
Greene scores with a kick to the body.

Greene scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Walley is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Walley manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Greene is in trouble now - Walley has advanced to mount!

Walley stands up from mount. Strange move.
Walley tries for a takedown but Greene circles away easily

and Greene counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Greene.

Greene stands up and waves to Walley to follow him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Walley misses with a head kick.
Walley is looking to clinch but Greene is avoiding it.
Walley misses with a series of wild punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randy Greene dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!



Greene closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Greene stops a takedown attempt from Walley.
Walley tries to score a body lock takedown but Greene shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Greene gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Greene sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Walley is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Greene jumps into side control!
Walley is letting Greene control him for a moment.
Walley regains half guard.

Walley looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Greene seems to be working for a kimura but Walley defends the submission attempt.
Walley works his way to full guard. Good work.

Walley has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Greene can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Walley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Greene is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Greene is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Walley has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Greene is looking to defend but Walley has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Greene! Walley pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Greene taps out and this one is all over!
