Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Doug DeSouza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Acton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DeSouza comes to the cage accompanied by freedom. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Acton closes the distance and clinches.
DeSouza can't find room to land a body shot as Acton controls the action.
Acton drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Acton gets control of DeSouza's arms and successfully pulls guard. Acton will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
DeSouza drops back looking for a leg! Acton is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Acton manages to kick DeSouza off! DeSouza jumps back into Acton's guard.
Acton landing heel shots to his opponent's back. DeSouza not amused, grabs the leg and drops back, looking for a heel hook. Acton doesn't react quick enough and DeSouza cranks it - Acton screams in pain and taps out! That was a really quick submission! Impressive stuff!
