Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Snake Bite!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Randall Hayes!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bite closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Bite goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hayes rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bite's guard! Nice work there by Hayes!
Bite has a closed guard, preventing Hayes from standing up.
Hayes throws and elbow that misses. Bite uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hayes's guard. Nice move by Bite!
Hayes keeping moving, preventing Bite from controlling successfully.
Bite slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Bite drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bite jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bite wants to control from the top but Hayes keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bite slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Bite looking to sit in guard and control but Hayes gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Bite is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hayes postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Snake Bite just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Hayes tries to close the distance and clinch but Bite swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Hayes looks to land a combination but Bite avoids it well.

Bite fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hayes keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Hayes throws and low kick but Bite moves out of range easily.
Hayes tries to clinch but Bite is having none of it.
Bite looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Bite is looking to advance position but Hayes won't allow it.
Bite is working for a submission of some sort.
Bite is looking for a kimura here.

Bite is looking for a kimura but Hayes is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bite to get the leverage.

Bite trying to control the position from guard on top but Hayes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hayes is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bite is controlling him.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hayes gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Bite struggles to land a body shot inside as Hayes controls his hands.
Hayes tries to circle away but Bite has him pinned against the cage.

Bite tries to work over Hayes's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
A frustrated look appears on Hayes's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Bite misses with a punch to the body.
Bite lands a body punch.
Bite tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Hayes's elbow.
Hayes tries to break the clinch but Bite is controlling the position.
Bite fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Bite misses with a hook to the ribs.
Hayes trying to land knees to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bite. Hayes does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hayes throws a head kick that misses.
Hayes doesn't manage to clinch there - Bite circles away.
Nice sprawl there from Hayes as Bite shoots in.
Bite shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bite was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Bite can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hayes is looking to escape.

Bite goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Hayes turns into him and now he's in Bite's guard.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Bite shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hayes pinned against the cage. Hayes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bite closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Hayes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bite. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bite is working for a submission of some sort.
Hayes wants to get back to his feet.
Bite looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Bite perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Bite seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hayes does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Bite is taking a breather. Hayes says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Bite's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bite, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
