Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brent Hinds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Slapper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hinds comes to the cage accompanied by Oblivion. Slapper has chosen beep beep i'm a jeep as his entrance music. Brent Hinds could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Billy Slapper's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brent Hinds! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Billy Slapper! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hinds.
Hinds misses with a body kick. A leg kick checked by Slapper. Slapper chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hinds can pounce on him.
Hinds scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Hinds does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Hinds is looking to score with low kicks. Hinds looks to land a body kick but Slapper moved away. Hinds misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Slapper gets caught flat footed, as Hinds shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Slapper wants to control the position but Hinds says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Slapper wants to improve his position but Hinds is controlling well.
Slapper is defending against the submission attempts here by Hinds.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hinds missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Slapper trying to hold on to Hinds's head to control him but Hinds postures up.
Slapper is trying to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hinds is looking for a kimura but Slapper is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hinds to get the leverage.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hinds throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hinds plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Hinds shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Hinds throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Hinds throws a wild body kick that Slapper sees coming a mile off. Slapper clinches up against the cage. Hinds manages to break the clinch.
Hinds throws a leg kick that misses. A head kick misses from Slapper. Hinds misses with a body kick. Slapper stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hinds. Hinds throws a head kick that misses. Slapper takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Hinds throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. A head kick from Hinds lands but Slapper takes it in his stride.
Slapper is rocked! Hinds tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Slapper is able to avoid easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slapper clinches with his opponent.
Slapper tries to throw a body punch but Hinds avoids it by throwing Slapper back against the cage. Hinds is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Hinds gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Hinds stopping the sweep attempt from Slapper. Slapper pulls Hinds in close to prevent any damage. Slapper is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Hinds is staying active underneath Slapper, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Slapper keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hinds is looking to control Slapper's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hinds avoid being mounted? Slapper wants to pass the guard but Hinds is defending well. Slapper keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Slapper is trying to control the action in half guard but Hinds is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hinds is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Slapper seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hinds does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brent Hinds dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Hinds shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Hinds throwing strikes from guard but Slapper blocks nicely. Hinds stopping the sweep attempt from Slapper. Slapper is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Slapper looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hinds is one step ahead there. Slapper looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hinds trying to control but Slapper is working from the bottom. Hinds postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Slapper is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hinds throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Hinds throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Slapper on the side of the head. Hinds scoring well with a low kick there.
Hinds throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Hinds is looking to land body kicks. Hinds walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Slapper checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Hinds finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Hinds misses with a head kick.
Brent Hinds seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Hinds. Nice sprawl there from Hinds as Slapper shoots in. Hinds lands with a nice body kick. Slapper is breathing heavily. Hinds avoids a punch combination nicely.
Billy Slapper is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hinds throws a head kick that misses. Slapper throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hinds misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Slapper throws out a loose jab but Hinds uses good head movement to avoid it. Hinds lands a head kick that stumbles Slapper and the fighters go to the mat. Slapper is still in real trouble! Can Hinds finish him? Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hinds thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Slapper not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Slapper seems to have recovered his senses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slapper looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hinds trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Slapper wants to sweep but no luck. Slapper has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hinds can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Slapper trying to control the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. The fighters circle, before Hinds throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Slapper's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Hinds lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
