Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between sugar rashad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Storm Shadow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Storm Shadow struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 137.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Storm Shadow looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, sugar rashad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Storm Shadow! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shadow throws a right and a left that both miss. Shadow throws a sloppy head kick and rashad moves out of range easily. Shadow throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Shadow misses with a head kick.
rashad closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Shadow taking punishment in the form of punches.
rashad cracks Shadow with an elbow. That is naaassty. Shadow parries the strikes from rashad easily there. rashad is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Shadow to escape.

Shadow stops rashad from passing to mount. rashad has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. rashad lands some shots froms side control. Shadow looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Shadow is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. rashad not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. rashad thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. rashad missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. rashad lands a nice short elbow. Shadow is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. rashad is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Shadow defends it well. rashad really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Shadow manages to get to full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. rashad missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

rashad dives in and grabs Shadow's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shadow pushes down on rashad's head and hops out. Shadow throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Shadow shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and rashad counters with a takedown into side control. rashad sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Shadow is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
rashad in side control, throwing shots but Shadow defends. Shadow is breathing heavily. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. rashad throws a strike aimed at the side of Shadow's head but Shadow avoids it well. rashad scores with punches from side control. rashad lands an elbow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. rashad tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. rashad lands a nice forearm strike. Shadow tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Shadow tries to lock up and control but rashad gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. rashad thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

rashad drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. rashad passes Shadow's right leg, so he's now in half guard. rashad not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Shadow trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but rashad manages to pass to mount!
rashad lands with some strikes. Shadow takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. rashad tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. BOOM! rashad connects with a massive shot to the dome!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. rashad cracks Shadow with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's three minutes gone in the round. rashad unloads with some shots from mount but Shadow bucks and avoids them well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. A nice elbow there by rashad. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. rashad lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Shadow hang on?
And that's the end of the fight! sugar rashad showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for rashad, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
