Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greg Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kouta Hiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Greg Stevenson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kouta Hiro!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hiro wants to clinch up but Stevenson keeps it at a distance.
Hiro fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hiro is looking to clinch but Stevenson is avoiding it.
Hiro wants to clinch.
Stevenson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hiro tries a head kick but it misses.
Hiro doesn't manage to clinch there - Stevenson circles away.
Stevenson lands a nice hook to Hiro's body. Hiro takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Hiro throws a head kick but Stevenson moves out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hiro looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hiro is looking to clinch but Stevenson is avoiding it.
A jab from Stevenson does it's job there.

Hiro drives through and clinches with Stevenson against the cage.
Hiro looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Stevenson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hiro just stands there and leans against the cage.
Hiro is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Stevenson pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Hiro fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Hiro drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Greg Stevenson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kouta Hiro.

Stevenson successfully pulls guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hiro trying to control the position from guard on top but Stevenson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hiro is fighting to break Stevenson's control of his arms but Stevenson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Hiro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stevenson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Stevenson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hiro has picked Stevenson up and slammed him! Stevenson can't keep hold of the triangle and Hiro manages to pass to side control!
You can see the frustration on Stevenson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Stevenson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hiro off and has taken his back!
Hiro prevents Stevenson from getting a body triangle.
Hiro is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Stevenson off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Stevenson punishes Hiro with strikes from the back mount.
What can Hiro do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
I really don't envy Hiro right now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hiro can't escape the position.
Stevenson doesn't have the hooks in and Hiro manages to turn into his guard.
Stevenson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hiro's guard.

Hiro wants to reverse the position here. Stevenson has hold of a leg though and he's dropped back looking for a kneebar! The fighters roll across the mat but Hiro is forced to tap! Hiro looks devastated but at least his leg points in the right direction.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Greg Stevenson!
