Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Danny violator (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ellis Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ellis Stone! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! violator shoots in and bounces Stone off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. violator wants to pass the guard but Stone is keeping the position. Stone pulls violator in close to prevent any damage. violator pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stone is keeping the position for now. Stone keeping moving, preventing violator from controlling successfully. Stone bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in violator's guard. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Stone doesn't manage to clinch there - violator circles away.
Stone tries to close the distance and clinch up but violator swats him away and circles back towards the center. Stone is looking to clinch but violator is avoiding it.

Stone pushes violator up against the cage in a clinch. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Stone obliges.

Stone escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
violator shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than violator was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Stone tries to get back to half guard but can't. Stone is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Stone manages to control the position for a moment. violator get's back to his feet. Stone wants to clinch up but violator keeps it at a distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ellis Stone will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

violator misses with a straight left. violator shoots in for a takedown but Stone shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. violator pushes Stone up against the cage in a clinch. The referee is keeping an eye on Stone - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Stone turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! violator manages to get back to half guard. violator is pressing down on Stone's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Stone must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Stone wants to control from the top but violator keeps moving. Stone throws and elbow that misses. violator uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Stone's guard. Nice move by violator! violator stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stone swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stone can do anything to dispel that myth. violator drops back, looking for a kneebar! Stone looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Stone looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Stone! Stone is chipping away with strikes.
Stone tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Stone has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. violator struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. violator gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Stone controlling the action here. violator gets back to full guard.
Stone got a little sloppy there for a moment and violator has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stone has managed to get both his arms back between violator's legs - danger averted. violator wants to sweep but no luck. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Stone trying to control but violator is working from the bottom. violator is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. violator bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. violator tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Stone bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

violator drops down looking for an ankle pick but Stone pulls his leg out and moves away.

Stone clobbers violator with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. violator shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stone as he avoids it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Ellis Stone will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! violator's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Stone trying to control the action but violator is working from the bottom. violator tries to buck Stone off but Stone is having none of it. violator is letting Stone control him for a moment. You can see the frustration on violator's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. violator is looking to regain half guard here but Stone keeps moving and retains side control. violator trying to remain calm as Stone controls from the top position.
Despite being in the dominant position, Ellis Stone just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Stone slips under a jab from violator. The fight moves into the clinch position.
And that's the end of the fight! Ellis Stone comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Stone has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
